When a couple plans to marry, they get engaged, and usually plan the marriage date for a year later.  During that time the bride-to-be plans her wedding! Maybe she hires a wedding planner, spends hundreds to thousands of dollars on the wedding, the dress, the honeymoon, for one day of celebration.

Yet when planning for a baby – anothet human being – as babies do grow into adults, which as a new parent you’ll be associated with this baby for your life time, and out spend the price tag of a wedding !

I just don’t get why couples leave such an important event in one’s life to the last moment, to learn about raising a human being.
